It's game time!

Today we road through New Orleans 44 miles and let me just say there are some very interesting people here. After our ride we went and picked up our new driver and hopefully this one is patient and lasts more than a week. Mike and I have decided to have a contest for my Gental Dental peeps. If you can guess how many hours it takes Mike and I to ride through Texas you will win a great price of 25 blue bucks. Start your guessing!

  1. Hi Dr. Milla,
I found your blog with the hopes of learning as much as I can to prepare for my ride across America. I found a website, Bike across America, that provides various routes throughout the U.S. this includes the ride across America (Southern Tier). I noticed on your blog that you're having problems with your map and decided to toss it. Did you map the routh yourself or did you purchase it through an organization? Ride across America is selling the Southern Tier route for approx.$97. I don't want to make the investment if this map is worthless. I appreciate your advise.

  3. Ron, while you are sitting on that thin, hard barstool, I will be standing knee-high in the American River tossing a line. I hope your day will be as good as mine.

  8. Hey Dr. Milla-
Glad to see that you made your trip. I have been asking people how long it would take to go across Texas, and I think it will take 52 hours. I am really going off the first number that poped in my head. I will be looking up your blog for now on, and hope you have a safe ride.

  9. Ronda-
The office has been so peaceful, cant figure it out. No one bothering me, no pesky comments. Maybe once you get across you should go back to your starting point, eh? In a sick way I guess I miss you! Honestly though, Im just craving some of your licorice. Just be sure and make a trip to Raleys before you head back to work. By the way, with your age, the condition of your behind, the fact that Mike may hurt you accidently on purpose, and my love for football, I predict 49 hours :) Safe riding!

Sorry to hear that the wind has been so bad! I am thinking that it will take you 59 hours to get across Texas--doesn't make you feel great to hear these high numbers, does it? Gee--you missed the OSHA training today--what a bummer...... Take care. Lynnette
